RateGain and Razorpay Join Hands to Simplify Hotel Payments in India

RateGain Travel Technologies has announced a new partnership with Razorpay to make hotel payments smoother and more secure across India. The tie-up aims to improve the way guests pay for their stays while helping hotels manage transactions more easily.
With this collaboration, RateGain’s Booking Engine will now support a wide range of payment methods including UPI, mobile wallets, net banking, and credit and debit cards. It will also offer EMI and Pay Later options to meet the needs of both domestic and international travellers.
Rahul Kothari, Chief Operating Officer at Razorpay, said the Indian hospitality sector is growing rapidly and digital payments are becoming the norm. “With the travel and hospitality industry expected to hit $125 billion by 2027 and most bookings happening online, offering secure and flexible payments is crucial,” he said. “This partnership brings together our strengths to help hotels provide a better experience to their guests.”

For hotels, the integration brings a number of operational benefits. Features like real-time transaction tracking, automated settlement reports, and a centralised dashboard will reduce paperwork and manual errors. Razorpay’s security standards, including PCI DSS Level 1 and SOC 3 compliance, along with its fraud detection systems, ensure guest payments remain safe.
Yogeesh Chandra, Chief Strategy Officer at RateGain, said the move is part of the company’s broader focus on improving guest experiences and hotel revenues. “This partnership helps hotels offer more flexible payment options, reduce friction at checkout, and improve conversion. It also supports better automation and faster decisions in line with our AI-first approach,” he said.
Earlier this year, RateGain also launched Navigator, a rate insights platform aimed at boosting revenue management for hotels.
