Education-focused NBFC Avanse Financial Services has raised Rs 1,200 crore through a rights issue subscribed by its existing shareholders Warburg Pincus, Kedaara Capital, and Alpha Investment Company LLC.

The capital infusion reflects continued investor confidence in Avanse’s growth strategy and its disciplined approach to capital planning. The company said the fundraise is aligned with its objective of building a diversified and resilient funding base while raising capital in a calibrated manner.

Avanse has maintained steady growth by focusing on financing higher education for Indian students across domestic and international institutions. The lender said its performance has been supported by strong execution capabilities and a robust risk management framework across its education loan portfolio.
