Why Pi Network May Never Reach $10: Analysts Remain Skeptical

Despite growing hype and ambitious price forecasts, market experts remain doubtful that Pi Network (PI) will hit the widely discussed $10 mark anytime soon. While the project has seen significant user growth and ecosystem development, persistent price weakness and fundamental limitations raise serious questions about its long-term valuation potential.
Since the Open Mainnet launch, Pi Network has added over 3 million new users, bringing its total active base to more than 13 million pioneers. The network now operates with over 400,000 live nodes, showcasing its intent to decentralise and scale. Meanwhile, initiatives like Pi Ventures, a $100 million startup fund and Fruity Pi, a casual gaming app, point to attempts at commercial expansion. The recent PiFest 2025 event drew over 1.2 million sellers, further highlighting the platform’s ambition to become a transactional ecosystem.

Yet, these milestones have not translated into price strength. Pi Coin has lost nearly 30% in the past month, and is currently trading near $0.50, with a further 7% drop in today’s session alone. The token is now dangerously close to a key support level at $ 0.40, and the RSI (14) hovering at 30 indicates oversold conditions though analysts caution that no bullish reversal has been confirmed.
Earlier forecasts suggested Pi could reach $ 4.80–$ 5.00 by mid-2025, but those targets appear increasingly out of reach. Even the platform’s more conservative long-term projections of $ 3.30 to $ 5.50 by 2025, and $ 9.10 by 2027, now seem optimistic given current market dynamics.

For Pi to even approach $10, it would need a combination of strong demand, major exchange listings, and wide-scale real-world usage all of which remain uncertain. Even if Pi rebounds to its peak valuation relative to Bitcoin, the implied 190% increase from current levels would result in a market cap of roughly $26 billion, placing it among the top 10 global cryptocurrencies a leap that most analysts deem premature and unsustainable.
