Slice Launches India’s First Fully UPI-Powered Physical Bank Branch in Bengaluru
Fintech firm Slice has unveiled India’s first-ever UPI-powered physical bank branch in Bengaluru’s Koramangala, redefining how consumers interact with banking infrastructure. The outlet, situated on 80 Feet Road – a prominent startup hub offers a seamless, cardless, and paperless experience driven entirely by Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
Unlike traditional branches, the Slice outlet features UPI-integrated ATMs, instant savings account setup using digital tablets, and a robot assistant that helps customers navigate services. Cash withdrawals and deposits can be made using UPI without the need for debit cards, making it a truly digital-native banking experience.

The branch went viral on social media after a video post showcased its unique format, including the AI-powered robot and zero paperwork setup. Described as “a full-blown UPI bank branch” by a post from ‘Peak Bengaluru,’ the concept reflects a shift in banking design focused on convenience, speed, and digital-first interaction.
A full-blown UPI bank branch just dropped in @peakbengaluru. No debit cards, no forms, just scan and deposit/withdraw cash with UPI ATMs and of course, there’s a robot!!
